Project: Branded literature/software

Space Metric is a leading solution provider for digital geospatial imagery. The company required a strong graphic identity as a focal concept to convey its extensive satellite image catalogue and technological products. The identity focused on the grid structure implied within the brand name and the structure of satellite mapping. The mark's star-like form also reflects the outer-space technology, while its convex shape provides a simple visual metaphor to represent the zoom-in detail of satellite scans.

We were commissioned to develop the Baringa brand, creating a strong graphic identity to unify communications across a suite of marketing material.

Client: CIWEM (The Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management)
Project: Impact Report and Accounts 2011

We have extensive experience in the design and implementation of annual reports and have won repeat commissions to design CIWEM's flagship document. Working for the public benefit for a clean, green and sustainable world, CIWEM (The Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management) is the only independent, chartered professional body and registered charity with an integrated approach to environmental, social and cultural issues. When working on CIWEM’s annual reports we develop a distinctive style which sets the right tone for members and environmental professionals, reflecting the institute’s cultural initiatives and environmental ethos.

Project: Deep Blue DMS brochure

Deep Blue provide class-leading dealer management systems and solutions to the automotive, marine and retail sectors. Proteus was commissioned to create a corporate identity along with brand and packaging designs for their software solutions products. Taking inspiration from the nautical theme, we designed a logo in the form of a barrel wave by integrating the brand's initials. The nautical theme is continued through the use of graphic waves, the computer generated contour lines of which conveying a technological theme. A clean sans-serif typeface was chosen for the logotype and all secondary typographic applications.

Project: Eight.6 Degrees staff print and e-magazine/brand development

In 1993, Fitness First opened its first club in Bournemouth. Today they have clubs in 16 different countries, making them one of the leaders in the global fitness industry. The group magazine consists of club highlights, latest developments and inspirational stories from staff and members. Eight.6 Degrees and its visual language plays an important part of in the development of the new identity and works as an effective employee engagement tool for the group globally.

Project: Annual Report and Review

Sovereign Housing are the largest housing association in the south and south west of England, providing over 36,000 homes. Working in over 60 local authority areas and employing over 1,000 people offering a wide range of homes from affordable rent to outright sale. Following the creation of a new identity for Sovereign Housing, we were commissioned to designed their annual report and review. This important printed communication item was key in establishing the new identity with stakeholders and other interested parties.

Johnson and Johnson Medical’s orthopaedic division, Depuy, have led development in orthopaedic product design and manufacture throughout the world for over a century. They are a leading developer, manufacturer and marketer of innovative medical devices, with focus on sports medicine and reconstruction. Proteus was commissioned to produce their UK product catalogue, created as both a marketing tool and reference material for medical professionals.

Proteus have supported Venhill with their latest campaign across print and online media to both trade and consumer markets.

A parkour/freerunning theme summer recruitment campaign targeting post-GCSE students across South London, inspiring them to aim higher and enrol for the next academic year. The outdoor media campaign, with applications such as bus shell adverts, ran in conjunction with online banner and MPU advertising.
